Czech Nature Photo Exhibition displays the best wildlife photography
You have the opportunity to admire award-winning and selected photos from the Czech Nature Photo 2020 competition until the 28th of June. The Czech Nature Photo 2020 exhibition, which exhibits the best nature images by photographers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, takes place in the Czech Photo Centre, 4 Seydlerova Street, Prague 5 - Nové Butovice.
The aim of the new competition is to show and evaluate the best images of wildlife; to educate the general public in the field of nature conservation; and to introduce the unique world of animals through photography.
The project is for Czech and Slovak photographers and was established in 2017.
Competition categories
An international jury led by photographer and entomologist Pavel Krásenský had the difficult task of choosing the top images from almost two thousand photographs that were submitted by Czech and Slovakian photographers.
The photographs were entered in the following categories: Mammals; Birds; Reptiles, Amphibians and Underwater Life; Invertebrates; Czech Forests; Czech Farmland and Rural Areas; Animals in Human Care; Wildlife in Prague; and Czech Wildlife and Countryside. Traditionally, the best photo of Czech nature is chosen and also given an award.
The most images were submitted to the new Landscape category, followed by the Birds and Mammals categories.
The exhibition is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and Prague City Hall this year.
